TEXAS TITANS F.C. ARRIVES IN EAST TEXAS
The creation of a newly formed club, Texas Titans F.C. promises a bright future for male soccer players in the East Texas Area. The club was formed recently in a response to a growing demand for programs that met the unique nature of soccer in the East Texas area. The Texas Titans F.C. has a truly unique philosophy and training structure that facilitates maximum opportunity for players of all skill levels.
After countless hours of hard work done to fine tune the programs offered to the East Texas community, the structure and foundation of Texas Titans F.C. is certain to change the face of soccer in East Texas. The unique Academy program provides a unique pool structure in training that facilitates maximum development at a young age, and ensures that as players develop they are placed in the appropriate environment to maximize their soccer experience. An innovative curriculum that is progressive in nature ensures that a young player continues to progress through their soccer years in a way specific to their age, ability and developmental needs.
Upon the completion of Academy training, Texas Titans F.C. offers two options to players’ that provides each and every participant an avenue to continue to play as they grow older. Club and travel teams provide high level players with the opportunity to have maximum exposure to college coaches, and maximum opportunity to compete at the highest level. In addition to club team offerings, Texas Titans F.C. is pleased to announce the creation of the Titans Youth Soccer School (TYSS) which provides for all players the unique opportunity to continue to develop and train without the traveling component common to club teams in the area.
Shannon Orr will head up the TYSS initiative on the boy’s side, with the goal and aim to restructure soccer in East Texas in a way that will truly benefit and provide options for all players’ in the area.
Leading Texas Titans F.C. is Kenny Jones, Head Coach of the UT Tyler Men’s program. Kenny has a wealth of both playing and coaching experience and holds a USSF ‘A’ license, a National Youth License, and has also played at the semi-professional level. Kenny has coached with the North Texas Olympic Development program from 1999-2006 and with the Arkansas Olympic Development program in 1995, and also has experience as a Region III staff coach. He has been the Director of Coaching for the Little Rock Soccer Club and the Assistant Director of Coaching for the American Eagles Soccer Club (now DFW Tornadoes). Kenny has played Semi-professionally and had a successful college career earning All Conference honors for three years, and Athlete of the Year at Hendrix College his Senior year.
Whether it be the Academy training, or the offerings through Texas Titans F.C. club teams or the Titans Youth Soccer School-the programs offered by Texas Titans F.C. addresses the prohibitive issues within the East Texas soccer community and provides the opportunity for each and every boy’s player to have a soccer experience that exceeds every expectation on and off the field. |
